OUR APPROACH

Care that considers the whole picture.

Compassion, collaboration and practical understanding—rooted in a Melbourne practice that works with individuals and families.

Illustrative demonstration imagery. Not actual practice premises or clients.

A stronger foundation starts with understanding.

People rarely arrive with one simple question that explains everything happening in their lives. Relationships, responsibilities, stress, work and family circumstances can all be part of the picture. Foundations Counseling was created around a belief that individuals and families deserve consistent compassion, guidance and support from a thoughtful provider.

Our work begins with understanding the kind of help being requested. Sometimes that is individual counseling. Sometimes it is support for a relationship, a parenting conversation or a specialized family service with a clearly defined purpose.

Different people need different ways of working.

The practice describes a collaborative approach and a range of therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused work and trauma-informed approaches. Team members bring different experiences, training and areas of focus.

You can ask about the way a clinician works and the background relevant to your inquiry. We do not expect a visitor to choose a treatment method from a website. The purpose of these pages is to make the available starting points easier to understand.

Respect is part of the practical work.

A useful relationship includes being able to ask questions about the service, the professional role, fees and what happens next. It also means recognizing when two services are different. Counseling, coaching, GAL work, supervised visitation and evaluations are not interchangeable; each deserves a clear explanation.

Our team brings experience supporting veterans, military families, first responders, LGBTQIA+ individuals and families with special needs. Ask about the provider experience and communication preferences that matter to you.

A local office. A personal next step.

Foundations is based at 1370 Bedford Drive, Suite 102, in Melbourne, Florida. Our website is designed to help people in Melbourne, Viera and across Brevard County explore options without an overwhelming first form.

Begin with your own contact details and the broad service you want to discuss. The office can help clarify provider fit, requirements and availability. You do not need all the answers before you reach out.

A little more clarity.

Do all clinicians use the same approach?

No. Team members have different training and experience. Ask about the clinician and service you are considering.

What is the best way to begin?

Use the guided introduction or call the office. A broad service interest and your own contact details are enough for an initial inquiry.
